Live-Action Timothy Q. Mouse

Description

Just started getting on a live-action Disney train & don't know when I'll stop. I'm not sure why but there's something about seeing cartoons in live-action that I love to see. I think it's because it gives children the experience of "that's what they'd REALLY look like" of believability. I mean, yeah, children can imagine what they look like in the real world, but physically seeing it is just as great an experience. Sort of hard to explain.

Anyway, back to this. What started this, if you couldn't guess, is all the upcoming live-action remakes of old animated Disney flicks. & cautiously open for them. Yes, Maleficent & Burton's Alice sucked, but hopefully the new ones will learn from these mistakes & be more faithful. I've planned on drawing stuff like this for a long time. Only now am I putting more thought & effort into them, especially since I've gotten a better handle with drawing stuff more realistically. I've gotten lots of Disney films cast live action & even planning a group picture, similar to the one from Mickey's Magical Christmas. (love it when all Disney characters are together)

I decided to start this revamped series (physically drawings, not a meme like the Pooh one I came up with) with what the latest announced film will be, Dumbo by Tim Burton. More specifically, Dumbo's best pal & the one who helps him keep his ears up, Timithy Q. Mouse. I got this one drawn, scanned and colored all in one day; yesterday to be exact. Yeah, that was pretty damn fast. I'm not trying to brag, but I didn't think I'd finish it all. Usually it takes about 3 days. Not only that, I didn't even Sharpie the outline. I scanned this while it was still a messy pencil sketch. I've never scaned JUST in pencil in the past... unless it's for some kind of sketchdump.
Live-action wise, Timothy's species could be a brown field mouse. His uniform he might've stollen from a doll, like a male version of Ringmaster Cher. That seems like the only reason for him to have gotten his uniform. The plume in his hat would be just a single feather (& from a wildbird). Finally, his voice would be done by Adam Sandler. I know that's obviously controversial since so many people hate Sandler, but... I dunno; Sandler's wise guy, Brooklyn voice seems perfect for Timothy. There's also this line from Dumbo that makes some sort of sense: "Must've overdone it in there. Don't know m'own strength sometimes." Isn't that what Sandler's films in general are? I dunno, if anybody has a different casting choice, I'd like to hear it. (don't take that sarcastically)

Here are the reference images I used: www.ekwt.org.uk/wp-content/upl…www.kirmesundschneider.de/pic_…fjminc.com/store/images/produc…tomvansaghi.files.wordpress.co…

Yes, I'm aware that Timothy's tail isn't attached. That's only because when I draw live-action Dumbo, I'm gonna place Timothy in his hat (as is the norm), but if Timothy's tail was already attached, it wouldn't look right. So when I put him in Dumbo's hat, then I'll position the tail right.

I love this! :D And I loved the live-action version of Dumbo, but was kinda disappointed Timothy was reduced to a cameo.
